So far each Team has played 22 matches, therefore each Team has only 16 matches left.
Chelsea currently sits at the Top of the Premier Leauge table with 55 points, with an eight-point gap between them and Arsenal who are currently second with 47 points.
With both Manchester Teams dropping points during the weekend it is looking like Chelsea are about to run away with the League.
Let’s look at the chances of the other big teams catching up with them
Arsenal: A lot of analysts will not consider Arsenal as Premier League Title contenders because they have not won the league since 2004, and in most recent times they have the habit of losing to big Teams, especially when it matters most.
Arsenal Fans, however, are still optimistic and they believe their Team is now stronger considering the fact that they have shown some resilience this season, for example, they were able to scramble a last minute equalizer against a Jose Mourinho-led Manchester United at Old Trafford. Thereafter they have been able to pull some late wins in other matches.
Another match where they showed resilience was the one against Bournemouth, where they were 3 goals down in the first half but they came back in the second half to draw the match. Just last week they were able to pull out the chestnut from the fire after Burnley equalized at the 90th minute. So you never can tell if Chelsea drops points, they just can take the chance.
Tottenham: Most football pundits will write them off because they have never really been serious Title contenders since the league became known as the premier league in 1991 and they have never finished above Arsenal since the coming of Wenger. They came really close last season but they blew their chance towards the tail end.
Currently, they sit 3rd and they have not been too bad, at least they have the bragging rights of breaking Chelsea’s winning streak
Liverpool: Currently sits 4th: Most analysts will fail to recognize Liverpool FC as a major Title contender simply because the last time they won it was in 1990, but their performance this season is not too bad. With a bit of luck, they just might walk alone with the Trophy in their hands
Manchester City: Currently sits 5th, the blue side of Manchester have not performed as expected considering their array of stars and the coming of Guardiola.
It’s not too late they can find their rhythm, remember when they won the league in 2012, and it was on the last day and at the last minute of the Game that they won it.
Manchester United: The Mourinho led Red devils have been sixth on the table for a while now even though they have spent a lot of money, they have not lived up to expectation, so one cannot classify them as Title contenders this season, but then, Mourinho has a reputation for pulling surprises
